The WHEN in an investment.

• At the post office, I met my investor advisor, Premkumar (sadly, he died recently), and when asked what his investment advice was, he said something that till today plays in my ears, he said that, just as important as buying shares at the right time, it was equally important that one knows WHEN to sell and take the appropriate action too. An acquaintance of mine had invested in the market in the late 90’s when the market was at 15K. His inaction with his investments took his investments up the whole upsurge of the market to 22K and also the downfall to 7K’s !.
